New Dragon Ball Super movie: Everything you need to know.
This Sunday, May 9, 2021, nicknamed "Goku Day", the Toei Animation studio has formalized the release of a new Dragon Ball Super film for 2022 .
One of the first important pieces of information to know is the arrival of an “ unexpected character ”.
Additionally, series creator Akira Toriyama promises that the film will feature new technologies in terms of visual aesthetics. We can therefore logically expect sensational and fast fights. The latest film, Dragon Ball Super: Broly , already had very convincing means!
Dragon Ball is one of the most famous anime. Akira Toriyama's work has been adapted into four television series, more than 20 films, and countless video games. The main hero, Son Goku , is one of the most famous characters in the manga world. It is therefore logical that Toei Animation would formalize a new production.
The good news is that the wait won't be long. Although the official date has not yet been revealed, we know that it will arrive on our screens next year, in 2022 .
In other important information, Toei Animation has stated that this new film has been in the works since 2018 . The project would even have started a little before the theatrical release of Dragon Ball Super: Broly.
Regarding this unexpected character, all bets are off! Will we see a central figure from the OAVs like Broly in 2018, or a completely new character?
The manga's author, Akira Toriyama, reportedly personally worked on the character design, development, and story. He also promised that the film would "travel through uncharted territories in terms of visual aesthetics to give audiences an incredible journey."
