Everyone notices immediately, Goten looks just like Goku when he was a child. (As it appears in Dragon Ball). He also has disheveled, messy hair. Often he dresses the same, at least in Dragon Ball Z. In Super, he will wear a slightly more traditional outfit, in an Asian style. 🐲

BACKGROUND
As you probably already know, Goten is the second son of Goku and Chi-Chi . He is therefore the younger brother of Son Gohan . He would have been born towards the end of the year 767, approximately nine months after Cell's defeat and death. During this absolutely legendary confrontation, Son Goku dies a second time . It is therefore not possible to resurrect him. As a result, Goten did not have the opportunity to meet his father during his youth. You will have to wait 7 years. ⏳
During his youth, Goten was trained in martial arts by his mother, Chichi. It seems that he could benefit from a little more free time for sports than Gohan, who has to concentrate mainly on his studies. Son Goten finally has the opportunity to meet Goku , his father, for the first time! The latter is very surprised by the appearance of his second son, who looks just like him. SAGA OF MAJIN BUU
Videl and Gohan inform Goten and Trunks that the others have gone looking for an evil wizard, whose name is Babidi .

The latter tries to awaken a demon named Majin Buu . The two saiyans decide to leave to join the others.
Once arriving near Babidi's spaceship, Goten and Trunks notice a frightening discovery. Piccolo and Krillin were turned to stone by the powerful Dabra . Sure enough, anyone who touches this character's spittle is immediately turned to stone. Trunks accidentally breaks Piccolo's stone statue and is very afraid that he has killed him. However, the namek has the ability to regenerate as long as its brain is not damaged. 👍
When Dabra is killed , Piccolo and Krillon return to their normal appearance. Gohan and Goku are knocked out and Vegeta leaves to challenge Majin Buu , alone. He blows himself up, to no avail. Buu regenerates and his sacrifice is completely unnecessary.
Babidi is launching a somewhat special announcement to all of humanity. He is looking for Piccolo, Trunks and Goten to seek revenge for their interruption in Vegeta's fight. Piccolo also almost killed Babidi by slashing him with his arm. 😂
The two boys wake up in the Almighty's palace. The news of Vegeta's death and Gohan's disappearance makes them cry . Son Goten is very angry and blames his father for his lack of intervention. However, they agree to cooperate together in order to defeat Majin Buu. Goku teaches them the fusion technique .
They will be interrupted when Babidi announces that he intends to destroy the city where Bulma lives. Trunks leaves to retrieve the dragon ball detector from the laboratory, while Goku restrains Buu, thanks to the Super Saiyan 3 form. ✨
Following this episode, everyone retreats to the palace. For his part, Buu surprises Babidi and prevents him from speaking. Then he destroys it. Goku must return to paradise, his time on Earth is up. He says goodbye to Goten by giving him a big hug.
It is therefore Piccolo who will train Goten and Trunks to master the fusion. Two days later, they are able to become Gotenks . He goes to confront Buu twice and narrowly misses defeating him for good. Note in passing that Gotenks is quickly capable of transforming into Super Saiyan 3 .

Some time after Buu's defeat, life returned to normal on Earth. Goten leads a normal life with his family. He brings food to Goku while he plows fields.
Goten is later present at Vegeta's wife Bulma's birthday party. Depending on the version, this takes place on a cruise ship or directly at the Capsule Corporation.
