Jeice (ジース Jīsu) is the second-in-command of the Ginyu Commando. Although Barta can make decisions, it is Jeice who is in charge of commanding the Special Forces during Ginyu's absences. Nicknamed Red Magma, he is Barta's combat partner with whom he combines attacks including the famous purple comet.
This elite warrior is one of the most important in the Commando and is undoubtedly the most loyal member of the squad. He is a fine strategist and a dangerous fighter.

JEICE APPEARANCE
Jeice is a medium-sized mutant compared to other members of the Special Forces. He has red skin and long white hair that goes down to his hips. His eyebrows are the same color. He has a black jumpsuit and white armor similar to that of Frieza's army. The Ginyu Commando 's mark is inscribed on one of the plates of his armor. Jeice also has white gloves and combat boots. Like all members of Frieza's galactic army, he is also equipped with a green power detector . 👍
JEICE’S PERSONALITY
Like his Ginyu Commando counterparts, Jeice is a fairly eccentric character who loves to execute combat poses. The red mutant generally despises his opponents and displays extreme arrogance. In combat he may resort to cowardly attacks if this will allow him to gain the upper hand over his opponent.
Jeice has a very narcissistic side because he takes care of his hair and had a rivalry with Sauzer to see which of the two was more attractive. Although very cruel , he shows compassion towards his allies and seems horrified at the deaths of his comrades. Jeice has a certain affinity with Barta with whom he trains to make synchronized attacks. He has deep respect for the hierarchy and holds his captain in high esteem. Jeice often seems to praise Ginyu's power and Ginyu seems to return the compliment to his subordinates. The red mutant acts as his right-hand man , which explains the trust his captain places in him. 😎
BIOGRAPHY OF JEICE
Jeice was born on a planet located in the planetary system where planet Coola No. 98 is located . This is the planet where Sauzer was born and the two elite warriors belong to the same race . Jeice, like his peers, discovered his powers very early and was able to develop them during his childhood. 📖
He then joined a baseball team and it was here that he had the idea to develop his famous attack, the Crusher Ball. Jeice then met Sauzer who quickly became his rival. The two warriors often argued over who was stronger and more beautiful. 😅
Some time later Jeice joined the Ginyu Commando at the time when Sauzer had just been recruited into the Cooler Commando.
JEICE DURING THE FREEZER SAGA
The Ginyu Commando lands on the planet Namek after being contacted by Frieza. The group performs a dance consisting of combat poses before receiving new orders. Jeice gives Frieza an improved power detector and then leaves with his peers in search of the Dragon Balls. The Special Forces quickly find Vegeta, Krillin and Gohan who were also busy gathering the crystal balls. The latter try to separate them but the Dragon Balls are recovered by Barta and Guldo . Captain Ginyu takes the precious artifacts to bring them to Frieza. The rest of the group plays Rock Paper Scissors to see who will kill who. 🤣
Jeice loses at the game like Barta and is condemned to watch the fights from afar. When Vegeta kills Guldo , Jeice does not appear to be frustrated by his companion's death. He is thinking about how the combat poses will be executed with one less member in the group. For his part, Recoome , who completely dominates Vegeta , asks permission from his comrades to have fun with the two Earthlings. Jeice and Barta give him permission in exchange for candy bars. 🍫
After the arrival of Son Goku, the latter knocks out Recoome in one hit . The Saiyan then heals his companions using Senzu beans . Jeice mocks Goku's power because his detector displays a power of 5000 units . He is then convinced that the Saiyan was lucky and that Recoome had only let his guard down. The red mutant attacks Goku with Barta but Son Goku turns out to be much more powerful than expected. Their attacks are completely ineffective and they start to get scared for the first time. 😨
Goku easily parries Jeice's ultimate attack, the Crusher Ball , and the two mutants begin to get annoyed. The red mutant's frustration increases because his detector still displays 5000 power when scanning Son Goku . 👊
Barta is eventually defeated and Jeice receives the offer to leave the planet Namek. Vegeta finishes off Recoome and the blue mutant just as Jeice abandons his companions by leaving the battlefield in order to find his captain.
Once informed of the decimation of the Special Forces, Ginyu scolds Jeice, accusing him of having fled. The two survivors then find the Saiyan and prepare for the confrontation. 🤼♀️
The captain also assesses the low power of his opponent indicated by his opponent and then criticizes Jeice for relying too much on his detector . He also states that Son Goku is able to hide his true potential by greatly increasing his power just before attacking. Ginyu then estimates his opponent's power at around 60,000 units and looks forward to the fight he awaits. 💪
When the fight begins, Jeice stands back while watching his captain fight. He ends up intervening to help Ginyu by firing a beam at Goku at a strategic moment but will be violently reprimanded by Ginyu for his cowardly action.
The fight resumes and Goku then decides to charge his Kaioken. His power then increases considerably until it exceeds that of Ginyu. Jeice is then terrified by the power of the Saiyan and understands at that moment that he and his comrades had no chance of competing. 🤔
Ginyu, totally helpless , entrusts his detector to Jeice before seriously injuring himself. He then uses the body swap technique to steal the Saiyan's body.
Ginyu, who now has the appearance of Son Goku, finally finds Krillin and Gohan in the company of Jeice. The earthlings are then surprised to see the Saiyan with a power detector but quickly begin to realize that it is Ginyu. Jeice takes the opportunity to read his captain's power but notices that it does not go higher than 23,000 . Ginyu cannot indeed use the full power of the Saiyan's body. ✨
Ginyu then engages in a fight against Gohan and Krillin but Jeice is quickly confronted by Vegeta. After exchanging a few blows, the red mutant is convinced that he has gained the upper hand over the prince of the Saiyans. However Vegeta 's power has increased considerably since the last time. Jeice's detector eventually goes into overdrive and the mutant destroys it out of frustration.
The elite soldier charges the Saiyan but is completely dominated by the latter. Vegeta has fun with his opponent and inflicts heavy damage in close combat. It ultimately ends up rendering him completely powerless following a powerful charged energy shot . Jeice begs for his life but is executed in cold blood. Goku then deplores Vegeta's brutal behavior but the latter informs him that emotions are weaknesses and that this will prevent him from reaching the rank of super Saiyan. 💥
Much later and only in the anime, Jeice and his deceased comrades reach King Kaio's planet and confront the members of Z Team who were there. Jeice attacks Tenshinhan with Barta but are both defeated. The four members of the Special Forces are all sent to the Underworld and fall into the Bloody Pond. 💀
SAGA OF BUU AND THE OTHER WORLD
In an anime-exclusive episode, King Kaio informs Goku that Frieza and Cell have teamed up and are looking for a way to escape the Underworld.
Goku then arrives there with Paikuhan at the time when Frieza, Cell, King Cold and the Ginyu Commando (with the exception of the captain) are busy torturing the ogres of Hell in the hope of finding a way to leave the place.
Upon Goku's arrival and under Frieza's orders, Jeice and the rest of the Special Forces all attack the Saiyan together but are all defeated simultaneously. Jeice after being defeated by a punch to the stomach, crashes into the bloody pond. Moments later, after the defeat of Frieza, King Cold and Cell, Paikuhan unleashes a tornado and the group of villains crashes into a mountain of spikes. Jeice, after being impaled, is once again locked in his cell with the others.
In the Majin Buu saga, we can once again see Jeice, who watches the fight between Son Goku and Buu in the company of other villains. He is then in the Underworld and observes the confrontation using a giant crystal ball. ✨
DRAGON BALL GT AND BROLY MOVIE
In Dragon Ball GT, during the Super C17 saga , Jeice escapes from the Underworld with other villains following an interdimensional breach that opened. However, he is defeated once again and finds himself locked in Hell with his fellow Special Forces. 👍
We can see Jeice again in the Broly film. The elite soldier is indeed present with the rest of the Ginyu Commando on planet Vegeta . The Special Forces stand alongside Frieza and King Cold when the latter order the submission of the Saiyan people to King Vegeta .
POWER AND ANECDOTES
Jeice's power is obviously between 30,000 and 60,000 units. He has power equivalent to Recoome and Barta. The red mutant is more powerful than Vegeta during the Namek saga. He will still be finished off by the Saiyan prince after the latter receives a power boost. 💥
Jeice continued training after his death and his power increased significantly afterward. However, he will never again be up to the task against the members of Z Team and will be defeated again by Son Goku in the Underworld during the other world saga.
Like its Special Forces counterparts, its original name, " Jheese " (Jīzu), is a derivative of chīzu which means "cheese". 🧀
JEICE’S FAVORITE ATTACKS
Crusher Ball : Jeice's signature attack involves placing his hand above his head and charging up a large ball of energy. He then shouts "Crusher Ball" and throws the projectile at his opponent who explodes on impact.
Crusher Volcano: Jeice's ultimate attack involves firing a powerful parry of Crusher Balls.
Crasher Cannon : Numerous energy waves fired with Barta.
Continuous Crasher Cannon : This is the same attack as the previous one but with faster and more continuous shots.
Red Magma : Jeice charges his energy by surrounding himself with a red aura and rushes towards the opponent, inflicting damage.
Explosive wave : the user charges his energy and triggers a powerful explosion around him
Super Surging Wave : The user places their hands behind their head and sends a blast of energy towards their target
Full Power Energy Ball: A powerful energy shot triggered with Barta.
Attack of the Purple Comet: This is the combination of Barta's blue hurricane and Jeice's red magma.
