Frost (フロスト, Furosuto) is an antagonist in the Dragon Ball Super saga. He is a member of the Frieza race and he is also the Emperor of Universe 6 (former Emperor in the anime). He was one of ten warriors selected for the Tournament of Power. 🧊
In the anime, he became a wanted fugitive after revealing himself as a space pirate. He was erased due to the events of the Tournament of Power after being betrayed by his Universe 7 counterpart, Frieza , but he was later resurrected with the rest of the competitors. Frost has only a single row of horns, which retains its shiny black appearance, and the back of his head is noticeably shorter than Frieza 's. In his true form, much like that of Frieza , Frost becomes very sleek and unimposing in appearance, regressing to the same height as his first form. His neck and face turn pale blue like his torso and head. FROST PERSONALITY
Frost presents himself as a gentleman, who respects his opponents in combat. He seems to have a bit of an arrogant side, as he suggested to Goku after overpowering him after his first transformation, that he surrender for fear of suffering more, claiming to be a pacifist as he even noted that he preferred to avoid killing. ⚔
Like Goku , Frost likes to play with his opponents and test them before using his full strength. Despite this, he is not arrogant enough to consider himself invincible, openly admitting it when he believes an individual can challenge his power.
Frost developed a fondness for Frieza after witnessing the latter's power, and once betrayed by him , he was apparently truly injured. 😥
IN THE MANGA
Unlike the anime, there is no mention of him being a space pirate nor any indication that he is evil, with Piccolo even noting that he does not sense any sort of evil intent from him, Frost also trying to act kindly towards others. His willingness to use his defense comes from feeling threatened by an opponent - not seeing them as a weapon - and also because he greatly dislikes having to participate in the tournament, considering it a waste of time. Although called a cheater by others, he remained indifferent about it. Although he is the one who stops wars, he is also the one who starts them quietly - only to stop them "heroically" in order to get good publicity, and also so that he can redeem the war-torn lands from a lower price. 💰
He is also a very vicious fighter, using poison to gain a noticeable advantage when he loses. Therefore, he proves to be much more perceptive and cunning than Frieza , where he managed to fool almost everyone, giving a false image of a benevolent leader. Much like Frieza , Frost possesses psychopathic qualities, as he takes sadistic pleasure in torturing Awesome Turtle , in the same way that Frieza delights in the suffering of others. It also seems that his defeat in the previous tournament and his time as a fugitive humiliated Frost greatly.
Cornered and once overtaken by Hit , facing what he believed to be certain death, Frost calmly resigned himself to his fate and did not fight back. Despite his immense power, Frost actually tried to hide from the authorities, rather than fight them. However, after meeting Frieza shortly before the start of the Tournament of Power, he has a secret conversation with him, and the two former Universal Emperors agree to work together despite being on opposing teams, indicating that his supposed change of sides was perhaps just another example of his manipulative nature. Even so, Frost throughout the tournament had no intention of betraying Universe 6. 🏆
Frost has a similar hatred towards Vegeta as Frieza has towards Goku, but in Frost's case it is because of Vegeta, who humiliated him in the tournament. After Frieza 's betrayal, Frost continues to desperately attack the tyrant, only to be erased by the Zen'o.
FROST AND FREEZER

Upon learning of Frieza 's motivations, Frost was furious and attempted to blast him with a Chaos Beam, only for it to be obliterated by Zen'o Sama . In the manga, Frieza uses Frost to eliminate many competitors before throwing him out of the arena. When the tournament is over and all universes are restored, Frost angrily looks at Frieza , who smirks back.
BIOGRAPHY OF FROST
PREAMBLE
Frost comes from Universe 6 and is the same race as Frieza, if you hadn't noticed. He is the Emperor of Universe 6. According to the anime, Frost leads a peacekeeping force in order to "suppress the conflicts in Universe 6", although he is also the one who started these same conflicts, after stopping his self-created wars, he would continue to help children and war. These recovery efforts made people believe that he was a hero , earning him the "Universal Peace Prize" three times in recognition of his actions, he would then become the owner of the land destroyed by the war, thus increasing his control over the universe. 🪐
Frost once fought alongside Cabba to stop space pirates on the planet Mayonnai , a group that secretly was part of a clandestine organization. It turned out that he was actually the leader of the pirates he had arrested and it was a staged conflict. Another time, Frost encounters an evildoer and unintentionally kills him using his final form. Since then, Frost has tried to avoid using this form as he has difficulty controlling its power. 💨
FROST IN DRAGON BALL SUPER
UNIVERSE 6 SAGA
Frost is selected by Vados to be part of Team Universe 6 to participate in the Tournament of Power. Vados asks Frost to join his team promising that if he wins, Champa will help Frost with his Galactic Peace efforts. On the day of the competition, Frost is present with the rest of his team: Hit, Cabba, Botamo and Magetta. Before taking the exam he must pass, Frost is watched by Goku and Vegeta, who they believe to be Frieza . Hearing this, Frost glances at the two Saiyans but doesn't pay too much attention. Frost sits down to begin the written exam required to enter the tournament. After the ten minute time limit, he nailed this one. He then watches the first match between Botamo and Goku from Universe 7. 💥
Goku ends up beating Botamo by throwing him out of the ring. Frost is then informed by Champa that he is the next fighter in the tournament. Before Frost and Goku begin their match, Frost and Goku wish each other luck and shake hands. As soon as the match starts, Frost rushes at Goku and they both throw punches at each other in very rapid succession. They fight until Goku uppercuts Frost to the gut and knocks him to the ground. Goku then suggests Frost transform into his final form, leaving Frost wondering how the Saiyan knew about his transformations. He learns that Goku fought someone similar to him, but asks not to talk about it. Frost then transforms into his "final form", known as Assault Form. 👊🏻
Frost wants Goku's approval on his form and he gets the deal. Before continuing their match, Frost wants to know if the other opponent he mentioned earlier had beaten him but Goku decides not to answer, so Frost assumes he didn't win. Frost in this transformation continues to fight on par with Son Goku. Frost fires a beam of energy from his finger at Goku and causes him to crash to the ground. However, Goku jumps and transforms into a Super Saiyan , which shocks Frost. As Goku immediately charges at Frost, he is terrified and transforms back into his true final form.
- In the anime Dragon Ball Super , he is completely outclassed by Goku SSJ, who continues punches without being able to defend himself.

His next match then takes place against Piccolo . In the anime, Frost first charges towards Piccolo but the Namekian disappears and moves above him, where he begins readying his special beam cannon . Frost then fires several chaos beams at Piccolo but he dodges all of them except the one that pierced his right leg, causing him to fall back to the ground. Piccolo then uses an advanced cloning technique and Frost will fire chaos beams at the clones in order to deduce his true location. Frost will then quickly tire and use an explosive wave to eliminate all the clones. Here is an excerpt from the fight to show you the extent of the damage:
Frost then begins to quickly strike Piccolo, but Piccolo will easily block his blows. Piccolo is then knocked back by the villain's rapid attacks. Frost pushes Piccolo away and just as he is about to finish him off, he will extend his left arm to trap Frost. Frost is unable to move and Piccolo tells him that once he finishes charging his special beam cannon, he will fire it at Frost. Frost then uses his poison against Piccolo, causing him to become extremely weak and drowsy. He attempts to fire his special beam cannon, but since he's so sleepy he misses and hits the barrier instead. 🚧
Frost then ends the match with an energy blast that pierces his chest. In the manga, Frost attacks Piccolo with a barrage of energy waves, although the Namekian avoids them all before even removing his weighted clothing. The two then engage in a long-range battle, with Frost firing waves of energy and Piccolo using his Demon Hand. Feeling threatened by Piccolo, Frost quickly charged him and used his poison to win the match.
As Frost is about to be announced as the winner, Jaco notices something is wrong and suggests to the referee that Frost uses poison to win his matches. The referee checks Frost's body and discovers a needle hidden in his right arm much to everyone's surprise, including Champa and Cabba. In the anime, Frost then tells everyone about his dark side which he hid from everyone by playing the role of a hero and acting with kindness.
Everyone is shocked by this, and everyone in the audience boos Frost. It is then revealed by Vados that Frost was not a good person, he was actually similar to Frieza , Frost also revealed his true personality by giving Champa a mischievous smile. Beerus' brother gets angry but eventually calms down after talking to Vados, then telling Frost that if he beat Vegeta, he would still support him in his goals. 👏🏻
At this very moment, the referee intends to have Frost disqualified, but Vegeta tells the referee to let him continue in the tournament because he wanted to beat Frost himself. The fight then begins, with two fighters confident in their abilities. In the manga, after being discovered, Frost simply states to Champa that he used his poison because he felt he would lose if he didn't, and also wanted the matches to end because he didn't. There was no prize money. The Saiyan prince then decides that he will fight and defeat Frost himself.
At the start of the match, Frost charges at Vegeta but Vegeta will quickly knock him out of the ring in one hit, after transforming into a Super Saiyan. In the manga, Frost instead attempts to fight Vegeta SSJ in hand-to-hand combat and manages to block a few of his attacks; However, he will be thrown out of the ring by Vegeta with a power attack, which will make him lose consciousness, a stretcher will even have to come and pick him up. 🤣
In the anime, after the match, Frost attempts to escape into Champa's cube and steal all the riches his team had promised to share with, and if he were to take the cube, even the gods of the Neither Destruction nor the Galactic Patrol would be able to chase him down, but he is confronted by Hit . In the anime, Frost first appears while still a masked fugitive, living in the alleys of a rainy planet and hiding from the police. While living there, he is eventually approached by his former teammate Hit , who has come to recruit him for the Tournament of Power. Frost is initially very shocked, believing that Hit had actually come to kill him, and seemingly accepts this as he believes he will never be able to defeat the assassin . Nonetheless, it tries to defend itself using its poisonous needles, and when that fails, it attacks Hit with a rapid flurry of attacks with its tail. 🧙🏻♀️
Hit manages to dodge all of his attacks and grabs Frost's tail, which also contained a needle. Frost sadly resigns himself to what he believed to be his death, but Hit instead informs the fugitive of the upcoming tournament and how Champa wanted him to participate in it. He also praises Frost for his technical prowess, commenting that his time on the run had made him a survivor, which will be a crucial skill in the tournament, and admitting that he will have to get back on his feet to dodge Frost's assault . Hit also adds that if Frost refuses, he will be killed on the spot. So the choice wasn't really a choice. Happy to have another chance at life, Frost accepted Hit's offer and removed his poisoned needles, informed that cheating would amount to immediate erasure. 😲
At the tournament, he bonds with Frieza - both noting how similar they were - and forms an alliance with him. In the manga Frost even acknowledges that Frieza was his senior. When the tournament began, in the anime Frost fired a powerful attack at an unknown opponent. In the manga, he strangled Oregano with his tail and struck him several times, noting that he will take down any fighters with intelligence. He then approached Frieza , who declared that fighting was a useless waste of stamina and that Frost should target the three Earthlings from Team Universe 7, as they were weak. 💥
Afterwards, as Krillin rejoiced in his victory after defeating Majora , he launches a surprise attack on the warrior, knocking him out of the ring and managing to teleport away from C-18 , wanting revenge. Frost, remembering what Champa had told him about cheating before the tournament, comes out of hiding to do what he promised: disrupt Universe 7, humiliate them and lead them to defeat . Frost then spots Awesome Turtle and attacks him. Master Roshi will use the evil containment wave that Frost was lucky to avoid. While in shock for having underestimated the old man, he sees Vegeta, one of the most powerful fighters in Universe 7. 👊🏻
Torturing the now weakened Roshi, he fires one of his Chaos Beams at Vegeta to get his attention. Knowing that he is no match for Vegeta, he summons Auta Magetta to help him, in order to defeat him. Working together to harm Vegeta, Kamé Sennin uses the Evil Containment Wave again. While waiting for this precise moment, Frost develops a new move in order to seal Vegeta. Torturing Roshi once again, Roshi actually manages to free Vegeta, who will transform into Super Saiyan Blue. Seeing this, Frost immediately uses a ki smoke bomb and runs away. 💨
Frost later appears before Frieza and Gohan , after the defeat of
Jimizu. Champa initially thinks that Frost is trying to attack Frieza and shouts at him not to do it, believing that he had no chance against him. However Frost praises his performance as "senpai" and reveals his alliance with Frieza . In order to prove his loyalty, Frieza attacks Gohan, forcing him to use all of his power while Frieza switches to his golden form, Golden Frieza, seemingly winning against Gohan and earning Frost's trust and praise upon seeing his new form. 😲
With Gohan lying on the ground, Frieza then teaches Frost how to power up to 100% full power and then blasts him off the stage, after telling him not to trust anyone. After giving up, Frieza reveals that he always thought Frost was an amateur who wasn't really worth associating with. Enraged at this, Frost attempts to launch a Chaos Beam attack on Frieza from the spectator bench and is erased on the spot by Zen'o, who warns Champa not to let this happen again, otherwise the entirety of Universe 6 would be deleted next time. ✨
In the manga, when the tournament begins, Frost teams up with Frieza and is advised to eliminate the three bald men: Krillin, Ten Shin Han, Roshi. Frost then rushes at Krillin and easily throws him out of the ring, knocking down the first member of Universe 7. Ten and Master Roshi fight Frost but are overwhelmed. Tien launches his ultimate attack: the full-power Tri-Beam . However, Frost emerges unharmed and knocks Tien out of the ring. Frost is then about to eliminate Master Roshi, but Goku intervenes after Krillin's warning. Frieza tells Frost to run away because he will deal with the Saiyans later.
