Cooler's appearance in his first form closely resembles Frieza in his final transformation. Which makes a lot of sense given the relationship. The main difference is its purple skin . It contrasts greatly with that of his brother. Cooler is very tall, much taller than Frieza . He has a much more masculine appearance and he wears several armor-like shells on his chest, shins, head and shoulders.

BEFORE THE EVENTS OF THE FIRST FILM.
Just like his entire family, Cooler is part of Frieza's army . Although oddly enough, he doesn't seem to work very closely with the other members of his family. He leads his own squadron, made up of ruthless warriors. Together, they enslave worlds in the name of Frieza's army. Cooler would thus have control over at least 256 planets . His right arm, Dore, comes from planet 256 exactly. 🌏
In 737, Frieza destroys the planet Vegeta. This is the world of saiyans. Cooler watches as Goku's space shuttle escapes towards Earth . However, he will cancel the order to destroy it.
As for his relationship with Frieza, there has always been a sort of sibling rivalry. He even admits that if Goku hadn't killed Frieza, he probably would have taken care of it. At one point in his life, Cooler had found an advantage to gain the upper hand over Frieza. This is a terribly powerful transformation, superior in every way to the power of his younger brother. 🤛
THE MOVIE, DRAGON BALL Z: COOLER'S REVENGE.
This is Cooler's first appearance! He shows up for the first time during the film's prologue. He orders Salza and the rest of his armored squadron not to intercept Goku's space shuttle. This passage allows us to introduce it ingeniously. 📝
27 years later, after the genocide of the Saiyan people, Cooler learns that Frieza was killed by a fighter of this race.
