Champa 's appearance is very similar to his twin brother Beerus . Just like the latter, he is humanoid in appearance. He looks like a purple cat and he wears clothes similar to his brother. Unlike the latter, it has a more imposing build and a shorter tail.
His clothes are reminiscent of those of the ancient Egyptian gods . He wears a large red and pink collar, the edges of which are white. He wears gold jewelry like bracelets and an earring. According to Vados, his assistant, Champa was thinner before but gained a lot of weight over time. 🤔
PERSONALITY OF CHAMPA.
Like Beerus, Champa cares little for the fate of others. He is above all a god of destruction and this makes him insensitive to the death of others. Champa regularly asks Vados for help in order to avoid doing his job. He is particularly lazy . BIOGRAPHY OF CHAMPA
BEFORE DRAGON BALL SUPER EVENTS
A long time ago, on his birthday, Champa threw a tantrum at Beerus because the latter ate his Puff Puff fruit. Beerus pretended that it was also his birthday. The two brothers argued and Champa attacked with his “ Threat of the God of Destruction ” technique. This in order to push Beerus towards a planet populated by humanoid birds. Beerus would have managed to dodge the explosions, leading to the destruction of the planet in question. This conflict between the two brothers would have led to much destruction across the universe. It took the intervention of Vados and Whis to put an end to their destructive madness. From that moment on, the gods of destruction made a pact. From now on, competitions will be made up of food confrontations and not fights. 💥
Champa then leaves for several decades in search of the Super Dragon Balls. He will manage to find six.
CHAMPA IN DRAGON BALL SUPER
EARLY SAGAS
Champa appears for the first time during the sagas The Battle of the Gods and the Resurrection of F. In the manga, Champa and Vados travel through Universe 7 to get their hands on super dragon balls. The latter are spotted by the kaio-shin gods. Champa lacks discretion and regrets that his conversation with Vados is listened to. He asks the gods what they heard, but they deny the facts. 😅
Later, Champa heads to a super dragon ball and encounters a ship that belongs to Frieza's forces. They make a report to question the origin of this giant orb. Champa decides to destroy the ship in order to take the ball. This event will lead to the resurrection of Frieza . Champa and Vados will resume their journey through universe 7, with the aim of getting their hands on another dragon ball. The god of destruction goes to destroy a few worlds in order to find the missing orb. 💥
They will meet Beerus and Whis , exchange a few words before leaving. The presence of Champa in this universe strongly questions Beerus.
UNIVERSE 6 SAGA
During a visit to Beerus' planet, Champa asks who these two warriors, Goku and Vegeta, are. Indeed, the two saiyans train with Whis in order to gain power. Vados explains to Goku and Vegeta that Champa is Beerus' twin brother, as well as the god of destruction of Universe 6. ✨
Champa demands that Beerus wake up, so he can have an eating competition . This will take place and Beerus will win hands down thanks to instant pasta from Earth. Champa asks Vados if he too has such a planet in his universe. However, it seems that Earth's twin sister is destroyed , due to a great war. Champa definitely wants to get his hands on such a world, because the food there is delicious. Champa challenges Beerus in a tournament between their respective universes. Each must present 5 warriors. If Universe 6 wins, he will get his hands on the Earth of Universe 7. On the other hand, if he loses, he will have to give the super dragon balls to Beerus. Champa is therefore sure of his victory. 🐉
The rules are classic, they are the same as those of the world martial arts tournament. The competition will begin in five Earth days. As he leaves, Champa is convinced that Vegeta and Goku are real bullets and that they pose no threat. He heads towards the unnamed planet to create an arena, which will welcome the participants. He also asks his assistant, Vados, to choose the best fighters in Universe 6. He has the idea of also selecting at least one saiyan in his team, because Beerus is going to do the same with Goku and Vegeta. 👊
A little later, Champa himself decides on the selection and recruits: Hit, Cabba, Botamo, Auta Magetta and Frost .
The day of the tournament arrives and Champa awaits the arrival of the fighters from universe 7. He welcomes their presence once they arrive. Beerus and Champa discuss super dragon balls . The first match pits Goku against Botamo . Champa understands quite quickly that he made an error in judgment towards the saiyan. Son Goku will manage to knock his opponent out of the ring, causing Champa to have a crisis. An accusation of cheating is made, but it is dismissed. The second match between Goku and Frost will therefore begin…🏁
Champa is intrigued by Frost's participation, because this fighter has a very bad reputation in his universe. Vados explains the deal made with Frost. In the event of victory, Champa would support his fighter in his projects. The God of Destruction doesn't care and watches the fight. The confrontation will swing in favor of Frost. Goku is eliminated thanks to a poisoned needle hidden at the end of Frost's tail. Champa is smiling and happy with this victory. 😀
Frost from Universe 6 is deceitful and devious.
Later, the battle between Piccolo and Frost begins. Champa bitches about Piccolo's playstyle, once again accusing him of cheating. However, the Namek warrior is quickly eliminated from the tournament by Frost, again thanks to this poisoned needle .
It's Jaco who detects the deception and asks the referee for a body check. Champa strongly opposes this request, saying that these accusations are unfounded. That said, he is forced to accept but threatens Jaco with destruction if he makes a mistake. Poisoned needles are well detected. Champa is shocked by this revelation. Vados explains that it's no wonder, Frost is actually a space pirate . He has a habit of buying worlds destroyed by war and reselling them once rebuilt. Following this revelation, Champa attacks Vados because she is the one who recruited this malicious fighter. However, his assistant made him note that at no time was there any question of taking character into account. Champa is furious and wants to destroy Frost immediately. However, Vados explains to him that Frost is not disqualified and that his team has numerical superiority. It could be strategic not to destroy it and continue the tournament. The tournament continues and the fighters parade. Vegeta is eliminated by Hit very easily. Goku is allowed to return to the fight as he was eliminated due to Frost's cheating. Champa throws a tantrum and plans to wipe out his entire team. However, the arrival of King Zeno will prevent him from acting, thus saving the warriors. Champa and his brother quickly go towards the king to greet him. Both are frozen in fear in the face of the Ultimate Creator , who rules over all universes. When Zeno makes a joke that maybe we should change the gods of destruction, the two brothers are scared to death. Champa no longer knows where to stand when Goku shakes Zeno's hand. Once he returns to his royal palace, Champa agrees to give his six dragon balls to his brother. He returns to Universe 6 with Vados. During the return trip, his audience explains to him that the Earth of Universe 6 has been resurrected to normal. Champa understands that Beerus gave him a gift, but it still annoys him. 🌍
FUTURE TRUNKS SAGA
Following the defeat of Zamasu and Goku Black , Champa offers Beerus a new challenge. The latter would be a baseball match between the two universes. That said, Champa is deceitful, he doesn't care about the match, he wants to enjoy the delicious dishes of planet Earth first. Vados still insists that Champa himself participate in the tournament . She explains to him that he will be able to enjoy the food even more if he has exercised before. Champa reads the rules. ⚾
Champa's team consists of himself, Cabba, Botamo, Magetta, Vegeta and Goten (the latter replacing Hit and Frost). Champa announces that Hit was nowhere to be found.
The match begins and the least we can say is that it is very surprising. Goku uses his full power to throw the ball, creating an unprecedented explosion. The ball goes into space. The competition continues like this, with a series of actions that are unlikely for ordinary mortals. Champa is a bad player and complains a lot. The two gods of destruction will end up fighting each other and Whis and Vados are forced to calm them down. Later, when Hit hunts down Goku to kill him. Champa and Vados come to Earth to discreetly observe the battle. Champa is surprised by Hit's new abilities. Indeed, the Saiyan struggles enormously to strike his opponent. Hit is able to stop time in a specific area, creating illusions and time jumps . Champa himself struggles to understand as Hit realizes this and humorously declares that he does not understand anything. SAGA OF SURVIVAL OF THE UNIVERSE
The tournament of power begins! This ruthless competition features several universes. The latter each line up 10 fighters and the last survivor will save his universe, also gaining access to the 7 Super Dragon Balls .
During Zeno's exhibition tournament , Champa appears alongside Vados, his angel, and Fuwa , his Kaio Shin. They represent Universe 6. When Son Goku calls Zeno "Zen-Chan", Champa throws a fit and gets angry for this lack of respect. He attends the first matches and becomes terrified when the high priest announces the rules. Losing universes will be wiped out. Champa is distressed to know that Vados is in no danger, because the angels will not be eliminated. 💥
Champa carefully watches the fights and once again notes that Goku is likely to be a real problem . When this little competition ends, Champa asks Vados to recruit the 10 best warriors, asking if Hit will be there. This warrior is the strongest in universe 6 and he wants to have him on his team at all costs. 💪
During the final tournament, Champa is really impressed by the “ Super Survival ” mode deployed by Narirama. He is very happy to see that Hit stops him without much problem. Champa applauds the Danger trio from Universe 9 when they confront Universe 7. He obviously does this in order to annoy his brother. When Frost knocks out Krillin, Champa openly mocks Beerus. He reminds him that the countdown for the elimination of Universe 7 is starting! 👎
When Botamo is knocked out, Champa is enraged. When Hit faces Dyspo , the latter is very worried because his champion is in difficulty against the pride trooper. Goku helps Hit and this soothes Champa's emotional state.
Later, Frost challenges Frieza. When he believes that the god is going to turn against universe 7, he strongly encourages him. However, he is furious when he realizes that Frieza is betraying Frost to put him out of the ring. He threatens all his warriors with destruction if any of them decide to cheat. 💥
Later, Champa will witness Hit's terrible defeat against Jiren the Grey . That said, he will congratulate his champion, even once eliminated. This reaction is surprising but shows a beautiful aspect of Champa. He is convinced that his defeat will motivate his other fighters. Additionally, he is confident because he gave the potalas to Kale and Caulifla . For the rest of the tournament, he orders all his warriors to attack Universe 7. When Kefla appears on the field, he is jubilant in the face of this devastating power. However, when the latter is eliminated by Goku Ultra Instinct, Champa will begin to admit defeat. He only has two Namekian warriors left, Saonel and Pilina .
The latter two will face Piccolo and Gohan . Following a great fight, the two warriors from universe 6 will bow and leave the playing area. All the fighters are thus eliminated. As King Zeno prepares to destroy Universe 6, Champa accepts his fate and calls Beerus. He makes one last face at her before disappearing. 💥
After the tournament, when the universes are resurrected , Champa understands that Beerus has won. However, he states that he owes her nothing, not even a “thank you”.
HOW POWERFUL IS CHAMPA?
Champa is a god of destruction and he is trained by Vados . This gives him incredible power. Following Universe 6's defeat in the first tournament, he declares that he will wipe out his entire team. It is the arrival of Zeno who will save the defeated fighters. 👍
We learn that Champa is slightly weaker than Beerus thanks to Vados. The latter states that the difference is evident when looking at their physical form. Indeed, Champa is particularly fat and this weakens him compared to Beerus who is thin. The latter laughs when Champa asks to fight him. 😂
When the two gods clashed in the past, it resulted in many planets being destroyed. Their battle caused a lot of damage and it took the intervention of Whis and Vados to knock them out, otherwise they would destroy an entire universe.
