Goku vs Broly: Who is Stronger?

Originally, Broly was a character not considered in the timeline of the Dragon Ball saga and manga because he was not designed by Akira Toriyama (but later, by Shigeyasu Yamauchi) . Exiled at birth for fear of his potential and raised for revenge, Broly is undoubtedly the strongest saiyan in the series. He also gave Goku and his friends a lot of trouble.

The character's popularity is so great that he has already starred in three films of the DBZ series and the last of the series Dragon Ball Super: Broly , where he was officially implemented in the timeline (Movie release: November 14, 2018 ) . During this film, he was also introduced as a potential candidate who could take Goku under his wing in the future. 10) BROLY: THE LEGENDARY SUPER SAIYAN

Goku and Broly were born on the same day, but while Goku was born with a power level of 2, which was already considered an average level that infants could be born with, Broly was born with a power level of more than 10,000! This figure was obviously considered very high as it already exceeded the average power level of an elite class warrior.

So basically, Broly was born as a Prodigy Warrior , which was already powerful enough to cause the destruction of an entire planet. While Goku was born without any special qualities and was therefore considered a low-level warrior when he was born. 👶🏻

8) UNEXPLOYED POTENTIAL

Due to being born with an extremely high power level, Paragus developed a rational and reasonable fear of his son. Due to his immense strength, Broly has developed a very aggressive personality. Since his youth, his basic instinct has remained that of savagery. His father therefore created a necklace which he placed around his neck. 💎

This acts as a restraining device should he become, or even completely transform, into a raving madman and lose his sanity. This led to him never being able to truly immerse himself in a fight and controlling his power so that it never exceeded a certain stage and endangered Paragus and their surroundings. He therefore has a strength even more impressive than that which he already masters deep down.

7) TWO DIFFERENT CHILDHOODS

Goku has always been surrounded by a whole bunch of friends (Krillin, Bulma, Piccolo etc.) during his adventures, unlike Broly who only had one friend, Ba , a resident species of the planet to which he became attached during his stay, alone, on Vampa.

After his father arrived on the planet, Paragus then shot Ba, leading Broly to be at the mercy of his violent and vengeful father, who only wanted to use his forces to further his revenge against King Vegeta for having condemned his son to death by exile. ☠

Unlike Goku, Broly has never known love and was raised as a caged beast for the simple purpose of striking his enemies, under the orders of his father. He therefore developed a sort of solitary instinct, which increased his power tenfold. This instinct will allow him not to worry about possible disturbing elements such as feelings towards loved ones.

6) BROLY’S INCREDIBLE TRANSFORMATION

Like Goku, Broly does not transform into a Giant Ape due to the removal of his tail, but he is still able to harness the power that comes with the transformation to instill terror. 🐵

This allowed him to achieve new feats of strength without sacrificing speed, but still caused him to lose control of the form's wild and destructive instincts. His ability to tap into this state allows him to stand up to Goku during his transformation into Super Saiyan Blue in the Dragon Ball Super series.

5) BROLY’S HIDDEN ABILITIES

Compared to Goku, who learned new techniques and skills under the guidance of a master for years, Broly was able to learn new ways to use his power by studying how the opponent fought and not ignoring it. being a witness only once.

Vegeta himself notices this attribute when Broly first engages him and even considers him a threatening person as it allowed him to outplay and, at one point, outrun him. After the villain Frieza defeated his father Paragus and unlocked his Super Saiyan transformation, Broly managed to gain so much power that the energy bursting from his aura literally altered his personality. In his powered-up state, Broly is able to dominate both Vegeta and Goku in their Super Saiyan Blue forms and even deliver one of the most epic and impactful blows to Frieza, when Goku and Vegeta regrouped.

Broly becomes overpowered, he is even able to dominate Golden Frieza and fight on equal terms with Super Saiyan Gogeta who is much stronger than Goku and Vegeta. To summarize, a simple ki blast sent by Broly could effortlessly explode a planet equivalent to or greater than Earth. 💥

3) BROLY’S EXPLOIT AGAINST GOGETA

During his battle against Super Saiyan Gogeta, there is a moment where the two clash and cause the dimension to shatter. A dimension can only be broken when two sufficiently strong energies collide and break the boundaries of that framework of existence. 🌑

This means that Broly alone, in his Super Saiyan state, had enough energy to overcome this boundary and it was only when Gogeta, who was equal to him in terms of power at that point, collided with him and proved that he was indeed strong enough to break this framework of existence. A feat that even Goku has never accomplished or even remotely approached.

2) GOKU'S HELPLANCE AGAINST BROLY

Goku can only maintain his energized state for a limited time and even with his Super Saiyan Blue form, the Kaioken technique puts a strain on his body. Broly, on the other hand, can maintain his powered-up state for a longer period of time and doesn't put as much strain on his body as Goku. 💪🏻

Indeed, Goku's power has reached a level where his body has adapted to the energy consumption and tension, but if he tries to increase it, his body will break down in the worst case, and the will eventually leave you immobilized. On the other hand, Broly's energy keeps growing and his transformation is only his first Super Saiyan transformation.

1) UNTEST RESISTANCE

One of Gogeta's most powerful attacks is called the "Soul Punisher" or "Stardust Breaker" (famous because it generates a sort of rainbow galaxy) . It disintegrates the enemy from within and is one of the most powerful attacks in his arsenal. 🌈
